Traffic Signal Improvements - Flashing Yellow Arrow

Crews from Next Generation Electrical, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will work on the following days at the listed intersection locations to replace traffic signal heads with upgraded signals to accommodate flashing yellow left turn arrows.

Tuesday, May 14, 2019 – 22nd Street/Kolb Road intersection
Wednesday, May 15, 2019 – Broadway/Kolb Road intersection
Thursday, May 16, 2019 – Kolb Road/Grant Road/Tanque Verde Road intersection

Arizona Symphonic Winds at Udall Park

The Arizona Symphonic Winds kicks off its spring concert series tomorrow, May 11, at 7 p.m. at Udall Park, 7200 E. Tanque Verde Road. All concerts are free to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. at the László Veres Amphitheater in the park.

Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, a picnic basket, and enjoy an evening of entertainment for the whole family. The concert schedule continues every Saturday at 7 p.m., through June 1.

New Artwork Debuts at City Hall

Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and City Manager Michael Ortega, in coordination with Arts for All, present a new art exhibition at City Hall. Arts for All, Inc. is a local nonprofit which provides accessible education, training, and experiences in the arts to children, particularly those with special needs. Work by 10 artists will be displayed in the Mayor's Office and City Manager's Office.

Thrive in the 05 Spring Festival and Resource Fair, May 11th, 2019

This Saturday the Ward 3 office, along with a number of local non-profit and community organizations, will be hosting the Thrive in the 05 Spring Festival and Resource Fair. I’m excited about bringing families and neighbors together in Ward 3 and around the city. There will be opportunities to learn about available discounts and services through Community Action Agency and Tucson Water, activities for the kids and free flowers for moms.
