U.S. Rep. McSally Statement on Passage of Provision to Potentially Delay Cherrybell Closure

TUCSON – U.S. Representative Martha McSally today released the following statement after the Committee on Appropriations voted to restore postal service delivery standards to July 1, 2012, potentially delaying the proposed closure of the Cherrybell Processing & Distribution Center in Tucson. The vote to restore postal service delivery standards to July 2012 is significant as it would require delivery of First class mail within 2-3 days.

On Friday, June 19, 2015, crews from Granite Construction Co., under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will remove asphalt and repave a section of Grant Road between Dodge Boulevard and Richey Boulevard. Crews will repair the westbound, curb travel lane from 7 a.m. to noon. During the work, there will be a single lane closure on westbound Grant Road near the job site.

Street Bonds Road Recovery - Fog Seal Program

On Monday, June 15, 2015, crews from Southern Arizona Paving and Construction Co, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will begin a fog seal program associated with the voter-approved $100 million, five-year street bond program – Road Recovery.
