Three units will train at D-M during January

 
 
DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. – Davis-Monthan Air Force Base will host three Air Force flying units for training during January.
 
* Two active duty KC-135 Stratotanker from the 128th Air Refueling Wing will refuel A-10s participating in operation snowbird at D-M Jan 23-31.
 
* Twelve A-10C Thunderbolt IIs from the 127th Wing will conduct Combat Search and Rescue training at D-M Jan 23- Feb 6.

The City of Tucson Department of Transportation’s Park Tucson
Division today launched GoTucson, a service that will allow motorists to
pay for on-street parking through a mobile application. Developed in
partnership with Charlotte, North Carolina-based Passport, GoTucson will
provide a convenient, easy-to-use, and intuitive means of paying for
metered parking throughout Downtown and in the districts along the Sun
Link Streetcar corridor.

Road Work Update

SIXTH AVENUE AND TOOLE AVENUE
INTERSECTION CLOSURE

Crews from Southern Arizona Paving and Construction Co., under contract
with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation, will be installing
underground conduit for the installation of new and permanent traffic
signals at Sixth Avenue and Toole Avenue.

This work will require the closure of the Sixth Avenue and Toole Avenue
intersection from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., including the Sixth Avenue
Underpass, on the following nights:

The TreeCycle Collection sites closed on Sunday, January 11, 2015 and the trees collected will be chipped. The chips will continue to be available to residents at the Udall Park recycling area, Randolph Golf Course parking lot, and the Los Reales Landfill.
