Sweetwater Dr. The new Discovery Program engages visitors through a journey along the path that surrounds the ponds and recharge basins. The Mayor and Tucson City Council next Tuesday will consider changing the rate schedule for Tucson City Golf, amending the structure from 110 rates to 24.
Under the current system, golfers pay different rates that depend on factors such as course location, time of year, day of the week, time of day, whether they are city residents, when they book, and whether they have any discounts. Under the proposed structure, the highest maximum rate (paid by non-residents in the spring at Randolph) would increase to $60, up from $56.
The World Boxing Organization's No. 1 world-rated featherweight Oscar Valdez, who grew up in Tucson, will face Ernie Sanchez in the main event of Top Rank Boxing's card tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the Tucson Convention Center (TCC). The 10-round bout will round out the evening that also includes an undercard featuring middleweights and welterweights.

The Tucson Police Department (TPD) currently has multiple vacancies for public safety dispatcher within the Communications Division. The position involves skilled radio communications, including dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls for service. It requires the dispatcher to relay critical information via a radio system to public safety personnel who are dispatched on calls for service.
CONSTRUCTION OF NEW ROADWAY SCHEDULED TO BEGIN
The City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) and the Tucson-based Ashton Co., are pleased to announce the start of work to extend Sabino Canyon Road south of Tanque Verde Road to Kolb Road.
Tucson Electric Power (TEP) will be upgrading electrical transmission lines as part of a road project on State Highway 86, and the work will affect water service. The lines serve a Tucson Water booster station that provides service to approximately 3,600 customers. Water service to those customers will be interrupted from 8 p.m. tomorrow until 5 a.m. Saturday.
The affected area generally is west of Kinney Road, south to about Drexel Road, and west and northwest of San Joaquin Road.
