On Monday, February 9, 2015 and Tuesday, February 10, 2015, crews from Southern Arizona Paving and Construction Co., under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation, will begin backfilling open trenches on travel lanes at the Sixth Avenue and Toole Avenue intersection. This work will require travel lane restrictions at various legs of the intersection. This work will take place from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.

The graffiti abatement work scheduled for Friday, January 30, 2015, has been rescheduled due to the forecast of inclement weather. Crews from the City of Tucson Department of Transportation Streets and Traffic Maintenance Division will now remove the graffiti from an overhead directional sign on southbound Alvernon Way at Contractor’s Way on Monday, February 2, 2015.
This work will require the closure of southbound Alvernon Way where it meets Contractor’s Way. The work hours and closure with be from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m., for one day only.
