Tucson Medical Center (TMC) hosts more than 13,000 families each March during its annual safety event for children, and tomorrow, March 16, is the 2019 edition of Be Safe Saturday. From 9 a.m.- to 2 p.m., families can get free bike helmets and booster seats at the event.
The 32nd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival will be held Sunday, March 17, beginning at 10 a.m. at Armory Park, 220 S. 6th Ave. The celebration honors Irish heritage with local vendors, games for children, and live music.
Artists will include Wide Awake (a U2 tribute band) and Nancy McCallion and Friends. The 2019 theme of the daylong event is "Community in Action."

Bring your dog(s) and join law enforcement officers and their canines for the 2019 Canine Walk for Cops on the University of Arizona Mall. The walk begins at 8 a.m., Saturday, March 16, and is approximately 1 mile. Registration is $20 and covers two walkers and one dog (add $10 for each additional dog).
The last day to register for spring classes at Tucson Parks and Recreation is Sunday, March 17, and Yummy for the Tummy is just one of the fun and exciting classes for kids at the Randolph Recreation Center.

The City of Tucson is hiring three lead planners for its Planning and Development Services Department (PDSD). Lead planners help the public by providing information on zoning and land use issues, preparing maps and other digital information, and communicating case information updates to related parties.
On Thursday, March 14, 2019, the traffic signals at the Stone Avenue and Limberlost Drive intersection will not be in operation as work crews replace underground conduit and wiring at the intersection.
The work is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and is anticipated to be complete by 3 p.m. the same day. This schedule could change due to unforeseen circumstances.
