The next 2nd Saturdays Downtown takes place tomorrow, Nov. 10. Events during the day include free admission to the Tucson Children’s Museum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., recognition of Day of the Dead and Veterans Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Presidio San Agustín del Tucson Museum, a comic book project for children and adults at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and an Arizona Wildcats hockey game at the Tucson Arena at 1 p.m.
Evening events include the Dusk Music Festival at Armory Park (Saturday and Sunday), Tucson Roadrunners hockey at the Tucson Arena, and music and other entertainment at several restaurants and clubs. Some events are free, while others require tickets or admission fees. The main stage at Scott Avenue and Congress Street opens tomorrow at 5 p.m. with free performances from Joe Novelli, Jacob Acosta Band, and Little Cloud.
You can use the Sun Link streetcar to move easily through the downtown area. The streetcar is free tomorrow, running from 8 a.m. until 2 a.m. Sunday. 2nd Saturdays Downtown is a community-oriented event hosted by businesses, artists, restaurants, and downtown enthusiasts. Street parking downtown is free on weekends.
