Adoption of Tentative City Budget Tonight

After months of planning and tweaking the Fiscal Year 2016/17 Recommended Budget, the Mayor and Tucson City Council tonight is scheduled to adopt the tentative $1.37 billion plan that includes a mix of spending cuts and revenue increases.

City Manager Michael Ortega formally submitted the structurally balanced budget last month. Another meeting and public hearing will be held June 7 prior to final budget adoption.
