Arizona 811 will be hosting free Damage Prevention and Safety seminars this month in Tucson. Each lasts 2 1/2 hours and covers the Arizona 811 process, working safely around underground and overhead utilities, complying with state law, and understanding common utility marking symbols.
Morning and evening seminars, open to the general public, take place tomorrow, April 2. A seminar just for City of Tucson employees will be Wednesday, April 3, and a seminar for Pima County employees will be Thursday, April 4. Registration is required for all seminars.
Formerly known as Arizona Blue Stake, Arizona 811 has been operating for 45 years and handles approximately 522,000 locate-request tickets per year.
