The 19th annual César E. Chávez Ride, March, and Rally will take place on Saturday, March 30, with the bike ride kicking off the celebration at 8:30 a.m. at Hollinger K-8 School, 150 W. Ajo Way. TUGO bicycles will be on-site for those who do not have their own bikes.
Free parking will be available at Santa Rita Park, where riders can take 18th Street westbound to get to César Chávez Garden to start the event. Cyclists will ride southbound on 6th Avenue to meet marchers at 9 a.m. at the northwest corner of Ajo Way and Irvington Road. The rally will start at 10 a.m. at Rudy Garcia Park, 5001 S. Nogales Highway, and free parking will be available at the lots on Irvington and 6th Avenue.
Each year, the Ward 1 Council Office of Regina Romero partners with the Arizona César E. Chávez Holiday Coalition (ACCHC) to organize a march and rally to honor the late labor rights leader.
