As part of Mental Illness Awareness Week this week, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Southern Arizona invites the community to participate in the Candlelight Vigil for Mental Illness Recovery and Understanding. There will be a short candle lighting ceremony and personal stories of recovery and hope. Speakers will tell their stories about how mental illness has affected them, their path to recovery, and how they found help and hope. Information on NAMI’s mental illness education, advocacy, and recovery services will be available at the event.
The vigil will be held tonight from 6-7 o'clock at Cancer Survivors Plaza at Reid Park.
