Celebrate Improvements Made to the North Sixth Avenue Dogpark

Ward 3 Tucson City Council Member Paul Durham and the Tucson Parks and Recreation department will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday, Aug. 17, at 9 a.m., to celebrate improvements made to the North Sixth Avenue Dog Park, 2075 N. 6th Ave.

After being closed June 10 for work, officials will debut park improvements that include an upgraded irrigation and drip system with new sprinklers and a solar irrigation controller; removal of dead trees with new trees planted; and added area lighting, new picnic tables, benches, sod, pea gravel, and decomposed granite. The improvements were made possible through Ward 3 Service Line Warranty funds.
