Celebrate Tucson and Southwestern History at 39th Annual Fort Lowell Day

Tucson’s historic Fort Lowell neighborhood and Fort Lowell Park are the sites for the 39th Annual Fort Lowell Day/La Reunión de El Fuerte Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 9, from noon to 4 p.m. This free event celebrates the history of the area’s rich heritage and is open to everyone. It includes a variety of tours and exhibits for guests to learn about this hidden corner of Tucson’s past.

Fort Lowell Day features two vintage baseball games (10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.), a flag-raising dedication at noon, cavalry drills, a Fort Lowell and State of Arizona History Presentation from historian Ken Scoville, games and workshops for children, and more. There will also be mariachi and brass band music, an assortment of food trucks, and two free shuttles operating in the area.

All activities take place on both sides of Craycroft Road, from Glenn Street north to just north of Fort Lowell Road.
