The next meeting of the Charter Review Committee is scheduled for next Monday, Jan. 11, at 4:30 p.m. in Mayor and Council Chambers, 255 W. Alameda St. The committee is made up of 15 registered voters in the City of Tucson.
The task of the members is to review and make recommendations regarding possible amendments to the Tucson Charter. The Mayor and Tucson City Council directed that the review should include, but is not limited to, the sections of the Charter relating to the method and manner of the nomination and election of the mayor and council members and to the sections of the Charter relating to the City’s taxing authority and financial flexibility.
