The City of Tucson will co-sponsor a free Citizenship Day Fair this Saturday, Sept. 15, at El Pueblo Regional Center, 101 W. Irvington Road. The 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. event is part of Mayor Jonathan Rothschild’s Citizenship Campaign to increase citizenship among eligible U.S. permanent residents.
Attendees at the Citizenship Fair will receive application and legal assistance, learn about immigrant rights from the ACLU, get a chance to participate in a mock interview, and receive voter registration information. Additional sponsors include the International Rescue Committee, Mi Familia Vota, Pima Community College, and Univision.
Food and childcare will be provided. For more information, call Rachael Milles at Chicanos Por La Causa (520-882-0018) or Alejandra Encinas at Mi Familia Vota (520-449-8412).
