City Dedicates New CNG Facility

The City of Tucson General Services Department this morning celebrated the completion and opening of new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) facilities at the Thomas O. Price Service Center at Park Avenue and Ajo Way. The CNG plant and fueling facilities will serve the Environmental Services department, the City's Fleet Services, and Sun Tran.

The new fueling stations should result in savings for the City and Sun Tran as they work toward converting fleets to renewable, environmentally friendly fuels. Converting vehicles to CNG should result in a 20 percent reduction in carbon emissions.
