The Tucson Parks and Recreation department is looking for an experienced dance instructor to teach hip-hop, ballet, tap, folklorico, and creative dance. This is a non-permanent position that will work on an intermittent or seasonal basis. Job responsibilities include providing leadership and instruction regarding beginner to advanced techniques, supervising multiple participants of different ages, and developing a syllabus prior to classes.
Minimum qualifications include six months of post-high school education, at least one year of experience in a specialized recreation area, and the ability to obtain a first-aid certification. The chosen applicant also must be able to pass a background screening before being hired.
Applications must be received by May 16. Oral board interviews will take place on May 22.
