City Hiring Information Technology Specialist

The City of Tucson is recruiting an information technology (IT) specialist to work on the service and field teams of its IT department. Duties include installing and maintaining computer hardware and software (including servers and networks), troubleshooting problems, and providing technical assistance and training to end users in the use of desktop hardware and software.

The applicant should have a high level of customer service skills, technical skills, and the ability to work autonomously. At least two years of experience in computer hardware and software technical support is also required.

Applications must be received by Jan. 15. Telephone screenings and oral board interviews will follow. The successful candidate will be required to pass an extensive criminal background check because the position also supports the City’s public safety departments.
