The City of Tucson is accepting applications for a payroll technician in its Human Resources department. The position is responsible for performing a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities in compliance with all applicable agreements, statutes, codes, policies, directives, regulations, and laws.
A payroll technician also provides customer service to City employees, their families, and outside agencies, as well as producing payroll reports as needed. This position offers opportunities for future growth in municipal government.
Minimum qualifications include at least two years in payroll processing and bookkeeping and six months post high school education. The deadline to apply is Feb. 27. Oral board interviews will be held March 15.
