City Hiring Principal Contract Officer

The City of Tucson is seeking a principal contract officer to procure complex technical services and commodities and manage elaborate procurement projects. The position is responsible for managing a team, reviewing and approving the work of team members, mentoring team members, and acting as a liaison with the different City departments to which they are providing procurement services.

A principal contract officer also assists with developing and implementing procurement programs and policies. Three years of public contracting experience and a bachelor’s degree are required. The application deadline is April 23. Oral board interviews will be held May 2-3.
