The City of Tucson is recruiting utility service workers to perform utility meter readings for the Tucson Water department. This job is performed in an outdoor environment, with an individual walking up to 5-7 miles daily on a meter-reading route.
A utility service worker reads, services, and records water meter readings for residential and commercial accounts. The position also responds to a variety of work requests, including reports of leaks/no water complaints, meter/meter box problems, unusual or excessive water consumption, and other duties that may involve customer interaction.
Applicants must have a valid and unrestricted Class D Driver License. Applications must be received by April 7. Written and practical examinations will be held April 18, 19, and 23.
