City to Launch Second Mural Program

The Mayor and Tucson City Council last week accepted a $30 thousand grant from the Tohono O'odham Nation to launch a second mural program in the downtown area. The City is hoping to get donations to expand the program.

The first effort, in partnership with the Tucson Arts Brigade, saw eight murals painted by local artists as part of a program to beautify downtown, add visual interest, attract residents and visitors to the area, and reduce tagging.
