City Raising Awareness About Lead-Based Paint

As the City of Tucson’s Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Program (LHCP) continues to test and remediate homes identified as having lead hazards, it's also partnering with the Arizona Department of Health Services, which recently created a map to help families determine if they live in a high-risk area for lead paint and should have their children tested.

The LHCP is a community effort administered by the City of Tucson and local agency partners. The program targets lead-based paint and its physiological effects in children under 6 years old.

The LHCP is designed to locate and address owner-occupied residential properties found to contain lead hazards.
