The City of Tucson is hiring legal municipal interns to provide administrative assistance, legal research, and writing support to attorneys in the Public Defender's Office. Interns also assist with misdemeanor offenses in Tucson City Court, and they have the opportunity to gain practical knowledge in criminal law and criminal defense.
A cover letter, a resume detailing current participation in a Juris Doctor program, and a copy of current transcripts must be submitted to be considered. The work schedule of 15-20 hours per week is flexible and may be tailored to class schedules or other activities.
No benefits are offered with the position. The deadline to apply is Jan. 19.
