The City of Tucson is recruiting a traffic engineering technician in its Transportation department. The position provides technical support through review and implementation of projects and plans; investigates, analyzes, and resolves complaints from the general public, ward offices, other agencies, and other city departments; and conducts field studies of traffic conditions, including traffic counts, traffic observations, measuring distances, and measuring traffic speeds.
The job requires an associate degree and experience with traffic engineering support and computer-assisted design. A Traffic Control Certification will be needed prior to completing probation. Applications must be received by Dec. 10. Phone screen interviews will be held Dec. 13.
