The City of Tucson is hiring a payroll technician for its Human Resources department. The position is responsible for performing a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities that include computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, and verifying final wage payments and employment requests.
A payroll technician also provides customer service to City employees, their families, and outside agencies. Minimum qualifications include at least two years of experience in payroll processing and bookkeeping. The deadline to apply is Aug. 18. Oral board interviews will be held Aug. 29.
