The City of Tucson is hiring a principal planner to work in its Planning and Development Services Department (PDSD). This position will have oversight of special districts designed to promote transit-oriented development, infill development, and protect historic resources.
Duties include managing and reviewing applications for development projects in districts with specialized code and review processes; serving as a point of contact for applicants, internal reviewers, and public review bodies; and evaluating projects according to adopted standards and policies.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience in land-use planning projects.
The deadline to apply is Aug. 12. Oral board interviews will be held the week of Sept. 2.
