To protect the health and safety of the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Tucson is continuing closures and other changes to City services until May 15, in line with Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey’s "Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected" executive order extension issued on April 29.
Tucson Mayor Regina Romero later issued her own proclamation for the City of Tucson that declares a "continuing emergency or local emergency related to COVID-19." That proclamation describes regulations and advisories needed to protect public safety and minimize the spread of the coronavirus.
