The City of Tucson’s Environmental & General Services Department is hiring an electronics bench technician. This position will be responsible for repairing electronics equipment. Work includes troubleshooting, replacing, and repairing defective radios, siren systems, emergency lighting and controls, installing and testing equipment for proper operation, utilizing digital multi-meters, amp meters, watt meters, and service monitors.
An electronics bench technician determines and marks locations of underground utility lines and provides assistance to customers by reviewing and prioritizing work orders. Six months of post-high school education, at least one year of bench experience in an electronics systems repair environment, and possessing a valid and unrestricted Class D Driver License are minimum qualifications for this position.
