The City of Tucson is holding a Special Election on Nov. 6, 2018, and the City Clerk's Office last month mailed The Choice is Yours publicity pamphlet to registered voters in the city. If you misplaced your copy, you can read it online. Pima County will conduct this election, which will include two Tucson ballot propositions. Proposition 407 is a proposal asking voters to consider a $225 million Parks + Connections Bond to fund capital improvements at 100 of the city’s 128 parks.
Proposition 408 is a proposed Charter Amendment to extend the terms of the current mayor and council members by one year, beginning in 2020, and hold even-year primary and general elections for those offices in place of the current odd-year elections. The deadline to request an early ballot is Friday, Oct. 26, and early voting already is underway.
