Starting Monday, Jan. 29, contractors for the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) will begin lowering manhole and water valve covers in preparation for a repaving project on Craycroft Road, Grant Road to 29th Street.
Work will take place Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with expected completion in early March. Business and residential access will be maintained at all times. Drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians can expect delays when in the work zones. The public is asked to obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work areas.
The milling (removing asphalt) and repaving project is scheduled to begin in March, with work taking place from about 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. The project is part of the voter-approved, $100 million, five-year Road Recovery street bond program.
