Cyclovia Tucson: Call for Volunteers

Cyclovia Tucson will return to South 12th Avenue with ¡Cyclovia en La Doce! on Sunday, Oct. 27. Started in 2010, Cyclovia gives people from all over Tucson the chance to enjoy great weather, see neighbors, friends, and get a little exercise – all on city streets that will be closed to car traffic and open to walkers, joggers, cyclists, skaters and all other forms of people-powered movement.

Intersection volunteers are needed to help reroute traffic and residents away from the event. Sign up for a morning (8:30 a.m.-noon) or afternoon (11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.) shift. Groups of six or more can work with Tucson Police and Tucson Transportation departments to manage the flow of Cyclovia traffic at busier intersections. There are also other opportunities to get involved and help out.
