Excessive Heat Warning in Effect

The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning beginning at noon tomorrow, June 3, and lasting until 9 p.m. Thursday, June 4. Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures are possible, ranging from 102 to 109 degrees during that time in Tucson and surrounding areas.

As the weather heats up, Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) encourages community members and pet owners to take extra precautions to keep their pets safe and cool. When it comes to strays, officers with PACC's Animal Protection Services will be prioritizing heat calls. If you see a pet suffering in the heat, please call (520) 724-5900 and press 4.
