With the National Weather Service issuing Excessive Heat Warnings through Sunday, it's important to stay hydrated when heading outdoors. In a June edition of "No Bad Days with Barrett" on KGUN9, Tucson Fire Captain Barrett Baker offered some tips on staying safe in the heat.
It's also important to keep your pets cool. Most pet stores sell dog booties to protect their paws from hot sidewalks and asphalt, but veterinarians recommend pets stay out of the heat during the hottest part of the day. If you can, it's best to leave your pets indoors and make sure they have plenty of water.
