'Flame Off' Tonight as Part of Gem Show

The Sonoran Glass School (SGS) Flame Off has grown into a highly-anticipated flameworking event and highlight of the Tucson Gem, Mineral & Fossil Showcase. Renowned local and visiting glass artists will compete against the clock tonight in front of hundreds of spectators.

Founded in Tucson by Tom Philabaum, the Flame Off is a fundraiser for the nonprofit glass arts school and its programs.

Catch the competition live on stage and throughout the SGS campus via big HD screens showing multiple live camera feeds.

The all-ages event runs from 7-11 p.m. at 633 W. 18th St. Tickets are available at the door beginning at 6:30 p.m.
