Historic Himmel Park to Receive 60 Trees

Friends of Himmel Park and Tucson Parks and Recreation invite you to celebrate the renewal of Himmel Park with a tree planting event tomorrow at 8 a.m. The law firm of Mesch Clark Rothschild donated 60 trees to be planted in the park.

The trees will come from Trees for Tucson, which provided its expertise in tree selection and placement. The planting will include 20 shade trees along the park perimeter and passive recreation areas, with another planting of 10 trees next Tuesday by Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and Mesch Clark Rothschild.

The rest of the 60 trees will be planted in the future by Tucson Parks and Recreation.
