The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is conducting an environmental study to identify a potential 280-mile corridor for the proposed Interstate 11 (I-11) corridor between Nogales and Wickenburg. The Tier 1 environmental review process considers a wide range of Build Corridor Alternatives and the No-Build (do nothing) Alternative.
On April 5, the Draft Tier 1 EIS for the I-11 Corridor, Nogales to Wickenburg, was released for public review and comment. Public hearings on the study will provide information on the Recommended Corridor Alternative and allow formal public comments. The same information and opportunity for comment will be available at each public hearing.
The Tucson hearing will be held Wednesday, May 8, 3-8 p.m., at the Tucson Convention Center Ballrooms/Lobby, 260 S. Church Ave. Another public hearing will be held in Marana on Saturday, May 11, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Marana High School Cafeteria, 12000 W. Emigh Road.
