Jan. 8 Anniversary Remembered

Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild rang the bell 19 times this morning at Fire Central to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the Jan. 8, 2011, mass shootings that killed six people and injured then-Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and 12 others.

Shortly before the annual bell ringing, the mayor joined survivors, first responders, and others in a dedication for the soon-to-be-constructed Jan. 8 memorial in El Presidio Park downtown.
