Job Opportunity: Planner

The City of Tucson is hiring a professional planner for its Planning and Development Services Department (PDSD). The position assists with a variety of land use planning projects.

Duties include reviewing proposed land use changes for compliance with codes, area plans, and policies. A planner provides assistance to the public regarding zoning issues and transportation programs, and drafts code amendments and correspondence related to coordinating projects.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of experience in land use planning. Applications must be received by Feb. 21. Written assignments and oral board interviews will be held in March.
