The City of Tucson’s Environmental & General Services Department (EGSD) is seeking an individual to help distribute information through social media and other internal and external communications. A public information specialist will work with the department’s public information officer to develop and maintain an effective public information program, write internal and external communication items, organize and attend public meetings, and manage the EGSD website and all social media platforms.
The successful applicant will have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience in public relations, journalism, communications, or a related field. This position is subject to being on-call and may require work on nights and weekends.
Applications must be received by May 12. A written exam will take place the week of May 20. Oral board and presentation interviews will take place the week of May 27.
