K-12 teachers can register for "One River, Many Voices," a two-day Santa Cruz River field study. The event takes place Thursday and Friday, Feb. 20 and 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Participants will explore the Santa Cruz River watershed through hands-on experiences and learn from local experts at Canoa Ranch and Mission Gardens about the role of the river in our region’s history, hydrology, and culture. There also will be time for collaborating with other educators to develop a learning plan for classrooms.
Teachers will receive 14 professional development hours. Lunch is provided each day. For further information, contact Holly Thomas-Hilburn at hhilburn@cals.Arizona.edu or (520) 621-7477.
