Arizona Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) is inviting K-12 teachers to sign up for “One River, Many Voices,” a two-day Santa Cruz River Field Study. The study takes place Thursday and Friday, Feb. 21 and 22, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Local experts from Nogales, Tumacacori, Canoa Ranch, and Tucson’s Mission Gardens will share knowledge about the river’s role in our region’s history, hydrology, and culture. Lunch will be provided on both days. Teachers will receive 21 professional development hours and a $150 stipend on completion of two follow-up workshop webinars.
Arizona Project WET is a part of the University of Arizona. For more information, contact Kerry Schwartz at (520) 235-9647 or e-mail email@example.com.
