Kid-Friendly Community Bike Ride Tomorrow

Living Streets Alliance and El Grupo Youth Cycling are hosting a community bike ride tomorrow. Known as Kidical Mass, the ride starts at noon at Pueblo Gardens Elementary School, 2210 E. 33rd St. The free event welcomes riders of all ages and skill levels. El Grupo ride leaders ensure that the group stays together on the easy-paced 2-mile ride.

Riders are encouraged to bring their helmets, although a limited supply of youth helmets will be provided for free, courtesy of the City of Tucson Bicycle and Pedestrian Program. BICAS mechanics will be available to provide free, quick bicycle tune-ups.

This particular Kidical Mass also invites people who prefer to travel on two feet, as community members will lead a simultaneous group walk through the neighborhood. All riders and walkers will be treated to a free scoop of Isabella’s Ice Cream after the ride/walk.
