Tucson Mayor Regina Romero last week wrapped up her first U.S. Conference of Mayors gathering in Washington, D.C. The event was an opportunity for mayors to meet, exchange ideas, and discuss policy solutions on a variety of issues. Mayor Romero also met with federal agencies to advocate for federal investment in Tucson.
“The U.S. Conference of Mayors provides a great opportunity to learn more about how other mayors are solving the issues that cities face across the country; from economic development and climate change, to housing affordability and infrastructure,” Romero said. “It was also a great opportunity to showcase the amazing things happening in Tucson, whether it be our growing local economy or our flourishing arts and culture scene.”
