Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild will moderate a forum on re-entry, the process of returning to society after incarceration, tomorrow, Aug. 29, 2-4:30 p.m. at the Fox Theatre, 17 W. Congress St. The event is free and open to the public.
Second chance employment is the intentional practice of employing people who have a prior conviction. This is an opportunity for the public to learn more about re-entry and the benefits of hiring people from this population. The keynote address will be given by Genevieve Martin of Dave's Killer Bread Foundation. There will be panels featuring local re-entry programs and outstanding employer and program awards.
The event is coordinated by Second Chance Tucson, a coalition of nonprofit and government partners working to help people successfully re-enter society after incarceration. Please register at the above link.
