The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day provides a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs. This Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., several sites in Pima County will be accepting unneeded medications in their original containers.
This service is free and anonymous from Dispose A Med, a coalition that promotes safe disposal, storage, and use of prescription medication to protect public health, the environment, and preserve drinking water. Partners include the Pima County Health Department, City of Tucson, City of South Tucson, Town of Marana, Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center, and many others.
