In a new series of public service announcements (PSAs), local dignitaries describe how spare change can help Tucson's homeless population. In one of the videos (below), Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild talks about the positive change the merchant-driven, all-volunteer program to help end homelessness in Tucson is making.
You can drop coins or insert a credit card in any of the 20 brightly colored meters located along the streetcar route and beyond. All proceeds fund innovative community programs, such as the Tucson Homeless Work Program. That program provides day labor and a path to permanent housing for those in need.
