FREE GEM SHOW SHUTTLE TAKES YOU TO A WORLD OF TREASURES - GemRide is a free shuttle system that connects convenient parking with gem, mineral, fossil and bead shows around Downtown Tucson and other show locations. GemRide runs 7 a.m.-7 p.m. daily, through Feb. 15. Service times vary depending on shuttle route. Board at any of 30 stops on the four routes that connect to 33 shows.
KID-FRIENDLY COMMUNITY BIKE RIDES SCHEDULED FOR THIS MONTH - The Living Streets Alliance is hosting two free, community bike ride events, known as Kidical Mass. The first takes place tomorrow at noon, as part of the City of South Tucson's health fair. Participants will gather at Tucson Greyhound Park, 2601 S. Third Ave., where there will be free snacks, bike repair, cooking demonstrations, and more. The one-hour ride starts at 12:30. The second Kidical Mass takes place at noon on Feb. 14. It will start and end at Blenman Elementary School, 1695 N. Country Club Road, with free bike repairs, ice cream, and giveaways. A limited supply of children's helmets will be provided for free at both events, courtesy of the City of Tucson Bicycle & Pedestrian Program. Read more from the Arizona Daily Star.
TUCSON’S CONSERVE TO ENHANCE (C2E) PROGRAM'S 2015 GRANT CYCLE UNDERWAY – C2E, which links water conservation with watershed restoration, is accepting applications for projects that directly benefit Tucson’s washes and riparian areas. Previous grant recipients/projects include Atturbury Wash, Palo Verde Neighborhood, and Henry Elementary School. A grant workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4. Applications are due April 13.

TUCSON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AT TCC THIS WEEKEND - The Tucson Symphony Orchestra (TSO) joins forces with the seven-piece Canadian rock ensemble Jeans ‘n Classics to perform "The Ultimate Symphonic Rock Show," featuring the music of the Moody Blues, Electric Light Orchestra, David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, Jethro Tull and Procol Harum.
