TUCSON RODEO WRAPS UP THIS WEEKEND - The 90th annual Tucson Rodeo Parade this morning kicked off this weekend's La Fiesta de los Vaqueros competition at the Tucson Rodeo Grounds, 4823 S. 6th Ave. Gates open at 11 a.m. each day through Sunday. The rodeo opened last Saturday.

TUCSON COORDINATES SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES TO HELP THE HOMELESS DOWNTOWN - The City of Tucson’s Housing and Community Development department coordinated a joint visit this week from ten different social service agencies to Veinte de Agosto Park to connect homeless individuals with programs and services. Representatives from Primavera Foundation, The Salvation Army and other groups that specialize in providing transitional housing spoke with individuals gathered at the downtown location to assess their needs and provide resources. Agency representatives were successful in helping several people. The agencies will continue to perform outreach in the park. Read the news release.

DOWNLOAD APP TO REPORT GRAFFITI IN TUCSON - Graffiti Protective Coatings and the City of Tucson have a smartphone application for reporting graffiti. MyTucson is a free download on the iOS App Store and Google Play for Android. You can also report graffiti by emailing graffiti@tucsonaz.gov, or calling (520) 792-2489 and choosing option 1. SAVE THE DATE: ENERGY EFFICIENCY WORKSHOP FOR BUSINESSES - Local businesses will have the opportunity next month to hear from other businesses that have taken advantage of Tucson Electric Power rebates, while also learning about financing options for energy efficiency upgrades. The event, organized by Mayor Rothschild's office, will be held March 27 at TEP headquarters, 88 E. Broadway. RSVP details and further information are forthcoming.

ENJOY A PARKS AND RECREATION CLASS TO HONE YOUR SKILLS OR LEARN SOMETHING NEW - Registration for the spring session of Tucson Parks and Recreation classes begins March 11. Sign up for classes in aquatics, photography, pottery, dance, gymnastics, and so much more. The Spring 2015 Program Guide and Class Catalog is available online and at all Parks and Recreation facilities, including district offices, centers, and pools. The Program Guide has information on leisure classes, registration, and the Discount Program.
