UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA LAUNCHES ONLINE CAMPUS - The University of Arizona is now registering students for 21 undergraduate degree programs offered under the newly-launched UA Online campus. The undergraduate degrees join more than 40 online graduate school degrees and certificates the university has offered for several years. The UA says the program, scheduled to begin this August, helps the school with its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of today's students and working professionals. Read more from UA News.

VOTER-APPROVED ROAD WORK CONTINUES: FLOWING WELLS ROAD - Beginning Thursday, crews from Sunland Asphalt, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will begin milling (removing asphalt) and repaving Flowing Wells Road between Roger Road and Miracle Mile. The work will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The paving is scheduled to be finished by next Wednesday, April 1. FREE TAX HELP AT WARD 3 OFFICE - The United Way of Southern Arizona's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program provides free, in-person tax preparation for low-income households. In 2014, the VITA Task Force of Arizona helped secure $21.7 million in federal refunds and credits to Arizonans. The Ward 3 VITA Site is open Tuesdays from 1-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. through April 11. No appointment is needed, and participants will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. TOILET REBATES AVAILABLE - Tucson Water offers free toilets to qualifying low-to-moderate-income households. The rebate program offers free replacement of older toilets that consume 3.5 or more gallons per flush. Toilets qualifying for replacement typically are manufactured before 1991. The date of manufacture is generally stamped inside the tank or lid of the toilet. You must be a Tucson Water customer to receive the offer. Rental properties are not eligible.
